Dragon Studio Solutions
Bulimba State School
Small Classroom Studio
The Brief
Bulimba State School on Oxford Street, Bulimba QLD 4171, needed a studio capability for high school students that did not require a dedicated room. The brief was a hybrid classroom and studio setup — a space that functions as a normal classroom day-to-day but can be quickly configured for green screen video production when the curriculum calls for it.
The Build
Dragon Studio Solutions equipped the classroom with a 6m chromakey green velvet screen as the primary green screen backdrop, mounted using LightPro Flatbase Ceiling and Wall Spigots for a clean, permanent installation without floor stands. A LightPro Ultrasoft Round DF-780 Bi-Colour LED Panel provides the primary subject lighting, and two LightPro 30B II Pro On-Camera LED lights offer flexible fill and accent lighting options. Six BOYA BY-DM1 Digital Lavalier Microphones allow multiple students to be recorded with clean audio simultaneously — ideal for class-size productions. Stylus fluorescent green gaffer tape and LightPro Jet Black Velvet seamless background material complete the setup for clean keying and background work.
