About the Client
Conexus Financial is a leading organisation known for creating high-quality financial journalism and events. As part of their growth, the team wanted to bring more video and audio production in-house. They approached Dragon Studio Solutions to design and install a film studio in their new Sydney office that could be used for interviews, web and podcast content, and even as a rental studio.

The Challenge
The client needed a versatile space that could handle a range of productions: one-on-one interviews, panel-style conversations with up to four people, news-style desk shoots, podcasts, and corporate livestreams. They also requested a user-friendly setup—something that could be switched on and ready to go without the need for a full production crew.

The Solution
Working closely with the client, we designed a 7.5m x 5m studio that included:

  • Video & Cameras
    3 × Canon CR-N300 4K PTZ cameras with tripods
    Canon RC-IP100 joystick PTZ controller for smooth remote operation
    32” Samsung 4K monitor for live monitoring
    Video mixing and switching system for multi-camera production

  • Lighting
    24 × LightPro 40B Variable Colour LED track lights across 6 ceiling tracks
    2 × LightPro Shark 1200 Bi-Colour LED lights with softboxes
    Curve wall with 1m radius and full studio painting for a clean, professional look
    Ceiling-mounted installation with all lights controlled from one switch

  • Audio & Podcasting
    RØDE RODECaster Pro II production console
    RØDE Procaster broadcast microphones with suspension mounts
    RØDE Wireless PRO 2-person wireless lavalier system
    Audio-Technica ATH-M50x monitor headphones
    4-person podcast setup with boom arms and XLR integration

  • Additional Features
    Motorised background system with multiple colour options including green screen
    Portable SSDs for recording and fast content delivery
    Full camera and audio setup training provided to the Conexus team

The Result
The finished studio is a professional-grade, multipurpose production hub. It allows the Conexus team to film interviews, podcasts, and panel discussions with ease, while maintaining broadcast-level audio and video quality. Thanks to the intuitive design, everything—from cameras to lights—can be controlled and operated by the in-house team, making content creation faster, more efficient, and more cost-effective.
