Greenslopes Dental — Creating a User-Friendly Portrait & Content Studio in a 2.5m x 2.5m Space

Greenslopes Dental approached Dragon Studio Solutions with a clear challenge: transform a very small 2.5m x 2.5m room into a highly functional portrait and content studio that any staff member—even without photography experience—could operate with confidence. As a busy dental practice, their goals were twofold:

1. produce consistent, beautiful clinical portraits;

2. create an easy, reliable space for social media photo and video content.

The Challenge

The practice already owned a mix of Canon, Nikon, Godox and Sigma gear but struggled with inconsistency in lighting and ease of use. Only one team member knew how to operate a DSLR, and the natural light from a large window made it difficult to recreate the same look day after day. They needed a setup that was semi-professional but simple, consistent, and fast—something the entire staff could use.

Our Solution

Dragon Studio Solutions designed a clean, ceiling-mounted lighting system using the LightPro 40B Tracklights, chosen for their high-quality output, adjustable colour temperature, and ability to provide completely even illumination for skin tones—crucial for dental portrait work.

No stands, no cables, no complications. Staff simply walk in and flip a single switch—the entire lighting system powers on in a pre-configured setup, providing perfect lighting every time.

Dedicated Paper Background System

We installed a clean, professional white backdrop for consistent portrait photography, while still allowing flexibility for future background setups.

Optimised Room Layout for Natural & Studio Light

The lighting placement allows staff to shoot:

• fully lit studio portraits

• natural-light portraits using the large window

• hybrid lighting when needed

This gives Greenslopes Dental the flexibility to shoot before-and-after photos, team portraits, and content in both clinical and lifestyle styles.

Simplified Workflow for Non-Photographers

Because staff members needed a “point-and-shoot” setup, we configured the lighting levels and layout so anyone can walk in, turn on the lights, and capture a professional-looking image—no light metering or technical adjustments needed.

The Result

The finished studio is bright, modern, and extremely easy to use. Greenslopes Dental can now produce:
