Knox Grammar School

Teaching Chromakey Studio

The Brief

Knox Grammar Preparatory School needed a chromakey studio as part of their maker area — a dedicated creative technology space where preparatory students engage with hands-on making, design, and digital production. The studio had to be permanently set up and walk-in ready, requiring no technical configuration between sessions, so that students could move directly into green screen work as part of their broader maker activities.

The Build

Dragon Studio Solutions designed and installed a chromakey cyclorama studio integrated into Knox Grammar Prep's maker area. The studio features a LightPro cyclorama and ceiling grid lighting system with a motorised backdrop system providing multiple background options. The lighting is pre-configured for chromakey work — students walk in and the studio is ready. The setup is sized and positioned to work as part of the larger maker space, with equipment that primary-age students can operate safely and independently.
