Studio upgrade
The Brief
Following their 2023 studio build, Pinnacle Investment Management's in-house production team wanted a second, distinct backdrop within the same studio space — a warmer, more approachable look to sit alongside their existing chromakey cyclorama wall, ready in time for their end-of-financial-year results content.
The Build
Dragon Studio Solutions returned to Pinnacle's Sydney head office to add a dedicated interview wall: a centre panel flanked by vertical timber slat panelling, framed by floor-to-ceiling acoustic curtains that wrap the rest of the space. The centre panel can be left as a plain, warm backdrop for interviews or washed with colour using LED lighting for a branded look. The existing low-ceiling LED track lighting was expanded with additional track and its own dedicated switching, installed by a licensed electrician, so the new interview position can be lit independently of the original chroma key setup. A mobile softbox was added for portrait-style lighting on interview subjects.

The Outcome
Pinnacle Investment Management now runs two distinct on-camera setups from a single studio — the original chromakey cyclorama for virtual backgrounds, and a new timber-panelled interview wall for a warmer, on-brand talking-head look. The upgrade gives their in-house team more flexibility to produce investor communications, thought leadership video, and interview-style content without reconfiguring the space between shoots.
