The Brief

PixMagic, a family-owned art gallery and print shop in Cranbourne, Victoria, needed to establish a photography studio from scratch within a newly completed 7m x 4m x 3.5m room. The studio would operate as part of their broader gallery and print business, serving portrait, family, and newborn photography clients. With an empty room and no existing equipment, PixMagic needed a complete turnkey consultation and installation — from lighting and backgrounds through to operational advice on running a professional photography studio.

The Build

Dragon Studio Solutions worked with PixMagic to design and install a complete photography studio setup within the 7m x 4m space. A motorised 4-hook Expan background system with green, white, and black backdrops was installed to support the range of portrait and family photography styles the studio would offer. A LightPro ceiling track lighting system was fitted to keep the floor fully clear — important in a studio serving families with young children and newborns. Professional studio LED lighting was selected and positioned for the shooting area. Dragon Studio Solutions also provided training and operational guidance to ensure the team could run the studio confidently from day one.
